Crime and violence prevention

Crime and Violence Prevention

At LAB-CO, we understand that violence does not occur uniformly: it is concentrated in specific places, among a relatively small number of people, and around certain behaviors. That is why we believe prevention must be focused and always informed by data and evidence.

We work to reduce both the exposure and the propensity of people at risk, and to strengthen protective factors in the environments where crime is concentrated. With this approach, we collaborate with institutions and communities to prevent different types of crime — from property offenses to those involving violence — developing strategies that reduce opportunities for crime and help create safer, more resilient contexts.
